CMS Holds Annual Seminar Aboard the Silver Sturgeon – June 2009

In June 2009, CMS held its annual seminar – “Sea Change in the CIT Market”. The seminar was centred around the Cash In Transit market, and focused specifically on changes and developments in the market, highlighting how these changes would impact on retailers.

Held in London, CMS secured exclusive use of luxury river yacht, the Silver Sturgeon, for the event. The day provided attendees with the opportunity to not only enjoy the stunning scenery of London’s River Thames, but also to meet with fellow retailers to discuss issues and developments in the industry.

The event was a huge success and was attended by many of the top UK Retailers and Retail Finance companies, including J. Sainsbury Plc, Tesco Plc, HMV UK Ltd, McDonald’s Restaurant, Stagecoach Group Plc and Travelex. Feedback from all who attended has been very positive, suggesting that the subject matter was of great interest and that the opportunity to exchange views with contemporaries was very welcome.

Following on from the success of this year’s event, CMS will be hosting the next meeting of its Cash & Card User Group in October. Additionally, a further seminar is planned for next year, where the topic will be Merchant Acquiring.
