Cash Management Consultancy

CMS' expertise in all aspects of the cash supply chain enables us to work with clients on individual projects. These projects include:

  • “CMS Health Check”: This reviews the clients current costs of cash and looks at all areas of the supply chain including supplier costs and service levels, operational requirements and current processes. The client will receive a presentation and accompanying document identifying areas were cost savings can be made and providing ways in which they can be achieved.
  • Alternatively clients may wish us to analyse a specific area of their cash cycle. This may be reviewing carrier contracts, undertaking a scheduling review, analysing cash balance levels at branch/ATM/outlet level. Indeed, our clients can ask us to complete a review on any of the modules mentioned in the Intelligent Cash Management.

Outsourcing of the Cash Supply Chain

CMS can manage all aspects of the cash cycle and many of our clients have outsourced this area of their business to us. This not only provides our clients with the assurance that they have an optimal cost of cash, based on operational requirements, but enables them to concentrate on their own areas of expertise.

Here, CMS can provide all services in our Intelligent Cash Management Logistics and Intelligent Cash Management Operations modules.

Alternatively, clients may only wish us to be involved in certain areas of the cash cycle or may prefer to be more involved in day-to-day decision making. We understand how much administration time clients spend on this area and, whatever level of service our clients prefer, our aim is to reduce the stress to ensure that we make cash management as “hassle free” as possible.

Identifying Cost Saving Areas

Managing the cost of cash to an optimal level is an ongoing challenge for our clients due to the changing nature of supplier costs and operational requirements. Having an existing relationship with a client enables us to continually identify ways to reduce costs as we are involved in elements of their cash supply cycle. This can be in the form of changing schedules, identifying hidden supplier costs, or analysing the impact of operational changes on the cost of the client’s cash. Our clients therefore have the assurance that their cost of cash is at an optimal level.
